Champions Are Set To Collide at Fight Nite in the Flats VI
Lozano and Dent to Meet in Main Event
(03/12/10 – Cleveland, OH) – The name Fight Nite in the Flats has become synonymous in the MMA community as the premiere annual event in the Midwest. Fans from across the country and around the world flock to the Nautica Pavilion in Cleveland, OH on the first Saturday in June to experience what has become no less than an extravaganza for MMA enthusiasts. The sixth installment of Fight Nite in the Flats is already looking to be the most exciting edition thus far, as once again history will be made at the NAAFS’ showcase event.
For the first time ever, two reigning NAAFS Pro Series Champions have agreed to meet as current Pro Series Middleweight Champion Chris “The Assassin” Lozano (8-1) of Strong Style Fight Team makes the drop to the Welterweight division to take on current Pro Series Lightweight Champion, 4-time UFC veteran, and Ultimate Fighter Season 9 star Jason “Dynamite” Dent (21-10) in a fight that can only be described as personal. The rivalry between Strong Style and GriffonRawl dates all the way back to genesis of the NAAFS, with these two charter schools battling it out for supremacy inside the NAAFS cage. With the bad blood between these camps now at an all time high, the only place to settle the grudge is inside the NAAFS cage. Now the NAAFS Nation will witness two Pro Series Champions do battle for the first time ever on the promotion’s grandest stage, as Chris “The Assassin” Lozano takes on Jason “Dynamite” Dent.
“When I first heard the word that this fight was going to place I couldn’t believe my ears,” commented NAAFS Director of Public Relations Jake Digman. “We are still working on all the final details of the fight, but this promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated fights we’ve ever had and I’m looking forward to seeing it!”
Stay tuned to the new NAAFS.tv for more information on Fight Nite in the Flats VI including ticket information, new fights being added, and much more.

Dent wins by sub rd 2
March 14th, 2010 at 5:22 pm
Never really been much of a Jason Dent fan but I definitely respect the guy and am liking him more for fighting Chris Lozano.
What kind of Champion is Chris Lozano to cause the scene that he did by slapping Dent? What kind of professionalism is that? Further, what image is the NAAFS giving off by allowing their Champion pro 185 fighter to remain at an evenet after causing a scene? I guess if you hold a belt you can act like a thug and get special treatment…sad.
March 14th, 2010 at 5:39 pm
Lozano is an exciting fighter. He brings tremendous crowd support and gives most fans what they want to see…a knockout!!!
How does Lozano win against Dent? Lozano is the bigger, stronger guy and should win in the win loss column, but how does that help him? It’s a lose lose for Lozano in my opinion.
What happens if Dent wins, what does that say about the entire 185 Pro NAAFS Division where a 155 that could fight at 145 comes up in weight at 170 and defeats Lozano? Win or lose you have to respect Dent for coming up in weight to settle a grudge, “in the cage.” In my opinion that is very professional.
How do I see the fight turning out, hmm. Dent has fought the tougher fighters and has only been TKO’ed once back in 2004 against a beast in Ryan Schultz. Lozano on the other hand has yet to fight a Pro 85er with a winning record (14-19 combined). The weight cut wont hurt Lozano as he’ll be around 180-185 come fight time. I think Lozano will be too strong and overwhelm Dent with punches for the victory. Dent has great cardio and takes a beating well which could play into his favor as Lozano releases bombs from the ground which will leave open an armbar. On the feet Lozano wins, if it goes to the ground Dent has a shot.
Good Luck to both fighters.

its funny because you want to get on here and say stuff about lozano because he slapped dent well dent shouldnt be running his mouth thats what happens you talk shit and you get slapped you continue acting like a hardass and guess what lozano finishes the job by routing dent via K.O. in the firs round probably dent has never taken a punch like the ones that chris will be landing. cant wait for this fight and great job by naafs getting it in quick this will be a good warm up fight for lozano at 170
March 15th, 2010 at 1:54 am
A good warm up fight? This is going to be the toughest test lozano has ever had! you are underestimating dent
March 15th, 2010 at 2:53 am
Dude did you watch the tuf Dent was on? Hes a tool with a crap atitude. Hope Lozano smashes him.
March 15th, 2010 at 7:23 pm
dent will teack lozano and all those thong style punks a lesson dent wins by totally embarrassing lazono i hope they put other griffon rawlers agaist strongstyle so the point will be proven that griffon rawl is the better gym after he beats chris dent vs stipe lol
March 15th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Dents overrated. Dents never faced the power or size hes gonna see from Chris. Better gym in what way? Strong Style is the better gym with better instructors and better fighters. Chris wins this one easily.
March 16th, 2010 at 1:55 am
Dent is by far the superior fighter, Chris might have size and strength but Dent makes up for that in technique, Dent destroys lazono with a submission in the 2nd or 3rd round.
March 16th, 2010 at 1:58 pm
Oh and the Majority guy on here, Dent was on tuf,big accomplishment there, when the last time a strong style guy did anything like that, oh yeah never. No disrespect to the strong style fighters, some of them are really good, Stipe is one of the best heaveyweights if not the best in the country, other then that compared to GriffonRawl, Strong Style sucks.
March 16th, 2010 at 3:52 pm
How can you say Strong Style sucks and expect to be taken seriously. Both camps are good, its just that Dent makes his look bad. You never hear any Strong Style instructors knockin any other gyms,Dent does that daily.
March 16th, 2010 at 5:32 pm
Strong style is one of the best gyms out there i know personally i trained with then for awhile..the trainers are great and the traing partners u have there are great to heff cox forrest petz both ufc vets…chris is a great fight the best in his weight class in my opinion..and jason is a great fighter as well in my opinion he gets real big headed..i think chris will ko him in round 2 i think chris has the better stand up and ground.
March 16th, 2010 at 8:28 pm
wow so much shit talk…… Lee Harvey Oswald don’t have shit on LOZANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 17th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
Dont strong style have more then one ufc fighter on their roster? Im sure they have at least two with petz and cox and maybe more. I think we can all agree that stipe will be there soon but i dont see any current ufc fighters other then dent from griffon rawl on the local fight scene.
March 19th, 2010 at 3:06 am
So who in griffon rawl that can match up with:
1.) Arman Loktev… Toyed with D Walker, but he toyed with everyone he faced.
2.) Cox…. Rumor has it, dent turned this fight down with WEC, and Cox offered to fight dent for free?
3.) Heiland… yeah yeah, I know, the most overrated, and please dont say dent, if you say him for everyone, that show that GR has no depth.
4.) carraballo… see above
5.) Vadim the Dream… See above
6.) Govenor… wooped Reggie Parks
7.) Forrest Petz …
8.) Nick Duel…
9.) Chris Trippi… Sick BJJ
10.) Nick Killian…
11.) Lozano… A.J. pulling turned the fight down, so Dent stepped in.
12.) Rogers, Masterson, Stipe, Hawk …. I know GR only has small people.
*** GR has a lot of great Amatuers, not so many developed pros yet. All named above are pros, and I know I missed a few, and didn’t name any ammys. But please explain how SS Sucks, and GR is Better? Please?! GR is great, and some day when all the ammy’s that dent holds back become pro (Sorry Reggie, but you are ready now), they may become parrallel with SS. But definitely not now!

Response to Dude:
Lozano and Dent are PROFESSIONAL fighters. For you to justify Lozano smacking Dent for “running his mouth” shows the true unprofessional thought process you have. Being a professional fighter means you give up that thug mentality and stop getting in fights at the bar. Are we in grade school again where if someone calls you a name you hit them…childish…not professional. Dent did the mature and professional thing by having this grudge to be decided in the cage.
As far as everyone else on here saying S.S. is better or G.R. is better I think we can all agree that both schools are competitive and offer alot in terms of mixed martial arts. Both schools have good fighters. The ultimate goal would be to become a UFC Champion thus defeating fighters from schools such as Team Quest. It’s not the equipment in a gym that makes it good, but the hard work and dedication of it’s fighters that determines the quality of a gym.
Is making it to the UFC a goal of fighters? If so aren’t you selling yourself short. How about competiting and beating the best of the best in your division, something Lozano nor Dent have done as of yet during their growth in this sport. Forrest Petz whom which I am a fan has defeated Dan Hardy who battles George St. Pierre for the welterweight title, but even Forrest hasn’t reached that superior level as he is still growing as a fighter.
On paper we can say Dent wins or Lozano wins, but in a couple months all the speculation shall be over as two tough men from two tough camps battle it out in the grudge match.
March 23rd, 2010 at 1:41 pm
Dent is the superior fighter. Im sure he knows Lozano is tough but Dent has been face to face with tough many times in his career. Put Jason in the cage and he’s a different human being than usually. Lozano is tough but doesnt have the cardio, stand up, or ground game of Dent. Jason is a great striker and has some of the best muy thai the naaafs has seen. Lozano dropped a few opponents, but none of them were near the level of Dent. Lozano’s gonna get in there and realize he’s in the cage with someone who really understands and knows how to fight. I predict Jason wins a unanimous decision and teaches Lozano what a real stand up fighter is. I think it will be a great learning experience for Lozano and a great fight for Dent because people are going to have to recognize jason is the best pound for pound fighter around.
March 23rd, 2010 at 2:07 pm
Make no mistake about it, regardless of what you think, Lozano is a professional fighter. You may not agree with his actions towards Dent, but then again you may not know the whole story behind his actions. Lozano isn’t like you or me. He is himself. What you may find to be bad behavior on his part, may be honorable where he’s from. Some people are raised differently and are from different places. Maybe where Lozano’s from you’re suppose to slap a person when you feel they disrespect you or your family? The NAAFS didnt see what happened between the two of them. Dent and Lozano are grown men!! Why should the naafs intevien? They didnt fight and there wasnt a big scene. Words were exchanged, someone got slapped, and everyone went their own way. Just because someone has a championship title doesnt mean they place themselves in a box. Some people will put themselves in a box and act as you and I feel they should. Obviously Chris Lozano isnt that type of person. Its actually refreshing to some of us to have a champion like Lozano with some individualism. It gets boring with everyone trying to be the same, as not to offend the critics. The world needs characters and people to shake things up a bit. Lozano will win off purely being the realer person in that cage.
March 26th, 2010 at 8:21 am
Pete: “Refreshing to have a champion like Lozano.” A champion…Who has he beat? All his Pro fight’s have been agaisnt guys with LOSING records. Are there no Pro 185ers out there with winning records that your champion can fight?
What claim to fame does Lozano get IF he beats Dent? Dent could be fighting at 145 and here he is moving up to fight. If Lozano wins should he not have won? After all Lozano is the bigger, heavier Champion. Regardless of the outcome of this fight lets see Lozano fight a legitimate 185er which means someone actually with a winning record…and not A.J. Aeschlimann as his Pro opponents have been less than mediocre.
Many folks I converse with see Dent winning in the later rounds and suggest Lozano will punch himself out allowing anger to take over. Win or lose I think not only is Lozano a tough fighter he’s also an educated man that will enter the cage with pose and maintain such the entire fight. Regardless of what I think of some of the guys Lozano has been matched up with he still had to go out there and finish these guys in a tactical way. What I am suggesting is that Lozano is not stupid and is not going to “blow his load” over some qualm with Dent causing him to lose all sense. Agaisnt the Fields he was patient until he saw his victim in trouble thus commencing to what he does best and that’s finish fights.
All in all there is alot of hype for this fight and it does have the potential to be a good one…we’ll see what happens.
March 28th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
lozano can only punch himself out if hes not landing which wont happen. if dent is such a superior champion who has he beat and dont say anyone from TUF. everyone get your excuses ready when lozano knocks dent out its gonna be because dent is a 155 or lozano got lucky or dent would win in a remach. get a clue lozano is a superior fighter.
April 1st, 2010 at 6:29 pm
There will be no excuses. regardless of the winner, neither of these guys are the type to make excuses. This is a huge fight for Dent. He’s gonna beat lozo and show he’s the pound for pound best around. I predict dent schools lozo on the feet all fight long. strong style better bring extra ice for lozo’s face. Im not trying to talk smack but this fight is about dents greatness also. If he would have backed down from lozo, we would’ve all called him a coward. Since he didnt back down and is going to teach lozo a lesson, lets all call him what he is..A BEAST!!! Dynamite Dent by decision after a 3 round thrashing.
April 15th, 2010 at 2:41 am
Whens the full card being released?
May 12th, 2010 at 2:56 am
dent is da best in the world at 55 bitches lozano will feel pain on the 5th.
May 26th, 2010 at 2:03 am
I just learned the details of what exactly took place and I must say, I was cracking the fuck up! Who slaps people anymore, besides pimps? LOL!! I’ve been a fan of NAAFS for a long time and never have I been more intrigued by a fight. Not much of a Lazano fan, but I definately repsect the dude. If thats true about what dent was saying, and he had no legit facts to back up the things he was saying, well then he deserved to get slapped, and he deserves an ass whoopin as well.
June 3rd, 2010 at 3:22 am
Lozano! Lozano! Lozano!! Whoop his ass!! TKO!!
June 6th, 2010 at 7:15 am
185 fightin a dude at or capable of fightin 145……hmmmmm
June 6th, 2010 at 5:20 pm
Lozano is going to be a force to be reckoned with at 170! I hope he stays at that weight. Big things to come for that young man. That fight between Dent and Lozano was the best fight ever in naafs history!!! Awesome show Greg and Steve. Stansberry is crazy awesome and Strong Style’s amateurs were flat and unimpressive. Brian Rogers is awesome!! Reggie Parks got caught and Morsetti is slick on the ground. AJ’s fight was the usual zzZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzz…. I hope to see the Silent Assassin back and Jessica Eye scares me.
June 6th, 2010 at 6:02 pm
dent had alot of heart and took alot of shots he looked like a warrior but the beatdown chris put down was SICK good job chris made it worth my 30 bucks and jessica eye WOW thats all I have to say good job jess
